Time for some shameless* self-promotion! For all of my followers who aren’t Guild Wars 2 fans, this is a big announcement.

I now have a GW2-centric blog. You’ll never have to see my crappy game posts ever again. Unless you actually like those posts, in which case you should follow fires-swords-and-salads.tumblr.com.

There, I will be posting my in-game adventures and/or useless character information. I’m still getting the blog set up, so it’ll probably be kind for disorganized for a while.

If anyone follows, thanks in advance. I’ll try not to let you down.

So this is super depressing. I wanted to connect with the goddess Brighid more than anything. A while back, I introduced myself and asked Her if it was okay if I followed Her. She said it was totally fine.

Fast-forward a few months, and I haven’t heard much from Her. Now, She doesn’t strike me as the particularly silent type of deity. I also don’t think She’s super chatty, but I’m pretty sure this [almost] dead silence is an indication that something is wrong. I’ve tried talking to Her and giving Her multiple offerings. That hasn’t worked.

Finally, after weeks and weeks of being shunned, I broke down on hands and knees and begged Her to give me some sort of answer. At this point I didn’t even care if it was positive or negative, just as long as I got an answer. And I think She’s answered me. It’s just not what I was hoping for.

I was listening to a song about Her and right as the lyrics reached Her name, the song skipped. ”Brighid” literally glitched out of the song. I brushed off the bad feeling that gave me and went on with life. A little while ago, I tried yet another ~~futile~~ offering, and with the good stuff, too. Milk and honey, and some yummy new incense I just got last weekend. When I tried to light the incense, it wouldn’t light. I went through two matches before the incense started to burn. Keep in mind that this stuff is brand new. I hand-picked it to make sure it was perfect. There is no reason why it shouldn’t have lit on the first try.

So basically, even thought I don’t want to admit it, I have a feeling that Brighid is trying to give me subtle hints that mean “hey maybe you should take your worship elsewhere.” I only wish I knew why. Did I do something wrong? Did I offend Her in some way? Should I renounce my worship of Her? I love Her to death and I would do anything to keep Her close, but I’m really at a loss. What do I do at this point?

I did it. I bought the thing. And now I wait for it to be shipped. Maybe the post office...
